Hi, I’m Nic Chan—the heart, hands, and mind behind Soapra. Formerly trained as a graphic designer and still a passionate packaging designer, I’ve always loved colors, shapes, and playful creativity. Soap making came into my life completely unplanned, but at the right time. Creating beautiful soaps with captivating scents, vibrant colors, and skin-loving ingredients quickly became my new obsession.

Soapra was born from a lighthearted moment—joking in the bathroom about singing like an opera singer and thinking, “You get a soap, you get a soap, everyone gets a soap!” That playful energy inspired the name Soapra, and it reflects the joy and fun that sits at the heart of everything I create.

Because of my background in graphic and packaging design, you can expect Soapra soaps to be a celebration of color and form: sometimes muted, sometimes psychedelic, sometimes in unusual shapes. I welcome chaos in color and design—it makes me feel alive.

All our soaps are handmade in small batches with good-quality ingredients. There are no harmful chemicals, just carefully chosen oils, butters, and natural additives that are gentle on your skin. My partner, friends, and family have all tested our soaps, and every bar is crafted with care and love.

While I focus on the creative side, my partner brings a strong business brain to Soapra. He encouraged me to take this hobby further, seeing its potential out of all my craft experiments over the years—from leatherwork to jewelry, resin, painting, upcycling, and sewing. He noticed how excited his colleagues were when they experienced our soaps, and his guidance has helped me shape Soapra into a brand that balances creativity with thoughtful business decisions.
